  • ABOUT TIG - The Intensivist Group is owned and operated by board-certified critical care physicians. Their mission is to advance the practice of critical care medicine. In order to provide the best care for hospitals and patients alike, intensivists have developed a formal program for designing, implementing and managing intensive care units that produces a consistently higher level of performance. The Intensivist Group’s approach operates off of four pillars: intensivist-led, multi-disciplinary intensive care unit teams, evidence-based guidelines, protocols and standardized order sets, process and outcome measurement and collaborative relationships with the medical staff. Using these four pillars, The Intensivist Group is a leader and innovator in critical care medicine.

  • SERVICES - The Intensivist Group provides management of intensive care units that not only save lives, but also save money. By staffing hospital intensive care units with a team of intensivists, they are able to work together to increase doctor and patient satisfaction, improve care and outcome and drive cost savings. The intensivists work closely with hospital staff to determine key measures of performance and set targets with dates for achieving goals. Rural hospitals also benefit from an intensivist-led model of critical care as a result of state-of-the-art technology. Through voice, video and data an intensivist team is connected to patients and bedside physicians and nurses to provide an additional and immediate level of expertise and experience in treating the critically ill. The Intensivist Group also offers consulting engagements for hospitals that are dissatisfied with current intensive care unit care programs as well as hospitals that want to assess the benefits, costs and issues of introducing an intensivist-led approach. The Intensivist team provides an analysis of information and recommendations for restructuring critical care services, including financial models of how proposed changes will affect costs and revenues.
